The International Conference on Renewable Power Generation (RPG) is one of the IET's most successful international events, it provides an international platform for experts, scholars and enterprises in the field of renewable energy to gather here every year for academic and technical sharing and discussion, so as to promote the development of the industry. Until now, 13 editions of the conference have been held, originally running in China in 2013. Since then, RPG has been held alternately between Asia and Europe, since both continents are seeing a major deployment of renewable power generation.
About the event

The 6th edition was held in China in October 2017 in Wuhan having been attended by over 300 delegates. RPG 2019 was successfully held on 24&25 October in Shanghai, with more than 450 delegates on site. Although COVID-19 caused much disruption, RPG 2021 went ahead virtually via multiple media platforms. In 2023, the 12th edition was held in Shanghai again, which attracted over 300 attendees.
