In recent years, China has been developing ACDC transmission technologies and projects to improve its own supply and satisfaction the vast distance transmission requirements of the power sector. The IET ACDC is a long established and highly respected international conference on AC and DC power transmission which is co-organized with Tsinghua University and supported by various organizations both in China and abroad. The 16^th edition was held on 02-03 July 2020 virtually with around 400 delegates participated and over 5000 public viewers online.
